I well enjoyed genre masher Toddla T's 'Do U Know' and 'Fill up mi portion' last year - 'rice and peas and chicken is nice, taste so good me haffi have it twice...' - and the lad from the norf is back with 'Sound Tape Killin'. It's pretty hot, and there's some good remixes rockin around already. He'll be at Fabric on the 30th of May too.On the dubstep tip, as I mentioned before, Cotti and Doctor are about to release 'Calm Down', though it's been months in the pipeline and every week they update the myspace saying 'Out next week'. And what do you know? Still no banana. But when it drops on vinyl, get it quick because it is killer. (ps there is an unofficial release somewhere out there that is not endorsed by Cotti and Doctor, keep away).
I also cannot stop replaying the Mr Vegas hit 'Must come a road', which is a revival of Barrington Levy's 'Prison Oval Rock' (he's even in the video...). It's brilliant. Can i just add that he's called Mr Vegas cos his mates thought he kicked the ball like a Las Vegas dancer...cha (cha cha)
