What happened to the Duurrty South here in the UK? Weezy still holds the publics attention but there seems to have been a major drop in interest in general, my theory being that this decline coincided with the rise of Bassline/Niche/Whatever and therefore lost fans to the power of the BASS.
I believe there's still life in the Old Girl (or should that be Ole' Guurrl) yet. The inimitable Mike Jones has been a very busy boy as of late, preparing to unleash the eagerly awaited follow-up to 'Who Is Mike Jones?' on Swisha House/Ice Age later this year, 'twill be entitled 'Voice Of The Streets' and will definitely have the amazing Paul Wall on it.
To ready ourselves for its imminent arrival lets remind ourselves why we fell in love with Mr. Jones in the first place...all together now 'Back then Hoes didn't want me, now I'm hot Hoes all on me.'
PS. See if you can work out which Dubstep producer has sampled Still Tippin' extensively throughout his early career? Answers on a postcard and I'll shout you out and send you something nice.
